Korea-India cross-border accelerator Unicorn Incubator reinforced bilateral startup cooperation by leading the Korea Pavilion at the Tamil Nadu Global Startup Summit 2025 in Coimbatore, featuring five innovative startups from its India Launchpad Batch 8. The high-profile summit, organized by StartupTN on October 9-10, 2025, attracted delegates from 45 countries and resulted in Rs 130 crore in investment commitments, with Unicorn Incubator playing a pivotal role in fostering deep-tech collaboration between Korean and Indian enterprises.
Among the participating companies, DeltaX signed a landmark strategic partnership agreement with TUVA Power, a Tamil Nadu-based energy company, announcing plans to establish a battery manufacturing facility in the region. The joint venture will focus on designing, developing, and deploying Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for utilities, industries, and data centers across India and select global markets, combining DeltaX’s advanced AI-driven technology with TUVA Power’s large-scale manufacturing capabilities.
At the summit, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin joined StartupTN CEO Sivarajah Ramanathan and Unicorn Incubator Founder & Managing Partner Mahima Jinah Kim for the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding between StartupTN, the Seoul Business Agency, and Unicorn Incubator. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between the Indian and Korean startup ecosystems, paving the way for expansion of deep-tech enterprises into India while contributing to sustainable job creation and economic growth.
Mahima Jinah Kim, who also serves as Chairwoman of the India Chapter of KOVA INKE (Korean Venture Business Association – International Network of Korean Entrepreneurs), emphasized the organization’s commitment to fostering deeper technological collaboration between Korea and India. KOVA represents many of Korea’s leading technology companies as the largest IT and venture business association in the country, serving as a vital bridge for global partnerships. Leveraging this extensive network, Unicorn Incubator aims to connect major Korean IT firms with promising Indian startups, driving innovation and cross-border collaboration.
The Korea Pavilion showcased five startups from Unicorn Incubator’s India Launchpad Batch 8: DeltaX, IEUM International, Linkiss, Oysterable Co. Ltd., and UD Impact (Underdogs). These companies demonstrated innovative solutions spanning energy storage, technology services, and social impact sectors, reflecting the diversity and strength of Korea’s startup ecosystem and Unicorn Incubator’s strategic selection process for companies ready to expand into the Indian market.
