In October 2025, LXME introduced LXME Pay, India’s first Unified Payments Interface (UPI) platform designed exclusively for women. Rather than mere cashback, every transaction on LXME Pay rewards users with digital gold, turning daily spending into a wealth-building habit. New users can earn up to ₹45 worth of gold on their first transaction, making the switch to a women-focused UPI not only empowering but immediately rewarding.
Beyond gold incentives, the app features a smart expense tracker that categorizes spending automatically and sends monthly alerts. This insight-driven approach helps women understand their financial behaviour, set budgets, and identify saving opportunities without juggling multiple tools. Guided financial education—one-pagers, blogs, knowledge boosters, and live sessions—are seamlessly integrated, ensuring that learning to save, budget, and invest happens within the same ecosystem where transactions occur.
LXME Pay’s curated investment suite allows users to move from saving to investing in a few taps. Through partnerships with Bombay Stock Exchange–registered mutual fund houses, the app offers diverse plans: short-term goal funds, long-term wealth builders, tax-saving schemes, and child education plans. Importantly, LXME does not charge any fees on investments, lowering barriers for women who have historically faced opaque costs and complex onboarding processes.
The platform’s architecture promotes community and mentorship. Women can join themed circles—such as career earners, homemakers, or students—to share tips, ask questions, and celebrate milestones. This peer-driven environment addresses the confidence gap that often hinders women from fully participating in financial markets. Real-time chat support and monthly expert webinars further reinforce a sense of belonging and continuous learning.
Priti Rathi Gupta, LXME’s founder, emphasises that LXME Pay is more than a payments app; it’s a movement to close India’s gender wealth gap. “By combining everyday transactions with curated financial tools, we’re creating an ‘always-on’ wealth-building companion for women,” she explains. Co-founder Ridhi Doongursee adds that the platform’s human-centric design reflects women’s unique financial journeys—from salary management to investing for future goals.
Since its beta launch, LXME Pay has seen a 70% activation rate among female users aged 22–45, with 55% opting into recurring investment plans within the first month. These metrics underscore the appetite for a tailored fintech experience that understands women’s priorities and earning patterns. With plans to roll out dedicated UPI handles for women entrepreneurs and feature voice-based payments for underserved segments, LXME Pay is poised to become the go-to financial partner for millions of Indian women.
As India edges closer to digital ubiquity, LXME Pay stands out by ensuring that women earn, save, and invest with dignity and confidence. By turning routine transactions into gold rewards and offering end-to-end financial guidance, India’s first UPI for women is redefining what it means to be financially empowered in 2025.
