MyWonder, a Bengaluru-based edtech venture founded by parents-turned-entrepreneurs Chandramouli K and Venkat Potluri, has emerged from stealth with a groundbreaking screen-free, AI-powered personal device designed for children aged 3–10. The company secured USD 300,000 in pre-seed funding from Antler India and earned a spot in Google’s AI First Accelerator program, setting the stage for both national and global expansion in the booming edtech hardware market.
At its core, the MyWonder device replaces screens with voice-based interactions, offering adaptive games, interactive storytelling, and talking characters that evolve with each child’s progress. By eliminating screen fatigue and aligning with parents’ concerns about excessive digital exposure, MyWonder delivers up to 81 minutes of daily median engagement during beta tests, with 60% of users returning to the device three times a week.
The founders envision the device as more than just entertainment. Leveraging conversational AI, it sparks curiosity, fosters creativity, and embeds values-based lessons—all through fun, play-centric experiences. Early partnerships with a prominent Bengaluru school chain and renowned publishers like Hachette India have turned preschools into live experience centers, giving parents and children hands-on access before wider rollout.
Targeting 3% of India’s USD 1.7 billion edtech hardware segment, MyWonder plans to sell 100,000 units in its first year, translating to projected revenues of USD 4.5 million. International licensing agreements with US and UK content providers and integration with Google Classroom underline its global ambitions, aiming to redefine out-of-school learning by 2028.
Investors are bullish on this category-creating innovation. Rajiv Srivatsa, Founding Partner at Antler India, praises MyWonder’s blend of AI, empathy, and play for creating “a safe, screen-free companion that makes learning meaningful and keeps parents closely involved.” With deep industry support and a founder team driven by personal experience, MyWonder is poised to establish a new paradigm in children’s edtech—one where wonder drives learning, not screens.
